Damage to homes and businesses due to bad weather in Brescia: how to apply for compensation after the declaration of a state of emergency

The procedure reserved for citizens and businesses in the province of Brescia will start on Monday 10 June on the online platform of the Lombardy Region who intend to report the damage suffered due to last autumn’s bad weather for a compensation claim.

The reports may concern homes and offices of economic and productive activities damaged by bad weather between 20 October and 10 November in the municipalities of the province of Brescia.

“The meteorological events that occurred in autumn – states the regional councilor for civil protection Romano La Russa – hit the Bresciano area hard. Important events for which the Council of Ministers approved the declaration of the state of emergency requested by the Lombardy Region. The reconnaissance of the damage suffered by local authorities and the territory has already been started, now it is the turn of the procedures concerning private individuals”.

An indispensable condition for accessing any resources, which will be made available with subsequent resolutions of the Council of Ministers, is that citizens and businesses connect to the Lombardy Region platform. In particular you must connect to the Lombardi Region website in the ‘Tenders and Services’ section from 10am on 10 June to 4pm on 19 July 2024 and fill out a specific online form.
