The Fiamme Gialle of the provincial command of Savona concluded an operation which culminated in the arrest of four Italians and the seizure of over 180 kilograms of hashish and marijuana, several mobile phones, cash for over 20 thousand euros, a villa and two warehouses. The villa, located on the Savona hills, was used as a laboratory for the preparation and storage of the narcotic substance: there, in addition to one and a half quintals of hashish and marijuana, an industrial mixer, a hydraulic press and two warehouses for storage. At the time of the raid, three people were found, one of whom was the owner of a company authorized to grow hemp sativa.
Further drugs such as hashish and marijuana were found at the home of a fourth person. as well as approximately 17 kg of sugar, gummy sweets, honey and biscuits made from alcoholic infusion derived from marijuana inflorescences with a high content of active ingredient. The arrested people were taken to the prisons of Genoa and Imperia, at the disposal of the judicial authorities. Further investigations are underway to verify who the recipients of the large batch of drugs were which, once put up for sale in the drug dealing centres, would have generated illicit profits of over one million euros.
