TRENT. When some candidate were to campaign by suggesting the uselessness of the European Union, you could remind him that in Trentino the allocation for the European Social Fund plus (ESF+) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021-2027 amounts to a total of over 340 million tonnesamong European, national and provincial resources.

The new update on the progress – we read in a note – was made during the annual meeting of the Joint Supervisory Committee which monitors the efficiency and quality of execution of both programs, whose work was hosted in the Hall Depero, at the headquarters of the Province of Trento.

For the 2021-2027 ERDF as of 31 March 2024 the interventions launched have reached a planned amount of 63 million, with a committed amount of 40 million and a paid amount of 6.4 million out of a total allocation of 181 million. These are investments in favor of research infrastructures, for the growth and competitiveness of SMEs, for energy efficiency and the safety of the territory.

As regards the ESF+ Programme, as of 31 March 2024, 23 operations had been approved, with a planned amount of 81.9 million euros, with a committed amount of 30.7 million and a paid amount of 10.6 million out of 159 million available overall.

The interventions launched are aimed at promoting employment, the conciliation between family and work, student mobility and knowledge of languages.
