Infrastructure and roads: Rossini’s proposals for Rovigo

ROVIGO – Antonio Rossini, candidate for mayor of Rovigo in the next local elections on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June, supported by the civic lists “We for Rovigo – We Like It!” and “Alliance of Moderates”, presents its detailed plan for improve infrastructure and roads of the city. The aspiring mayor is committed to building strategic roundabouts and improving the quality of life of citizens, through a series of targeted interventions. Among these, Rossini includes the creation of new road connectionswhich will allow us to reduce pollution and encourage the flow of heavy traffic, avoiding passage through the streets of the centre.

West Bypass

The western bypass represents a strategic solution to connect Viale del Lavoro and Via Pertini with Viale Amendola in the San Pio to the hamlet of Boara Polesine. This new suspender will significantly reduce traffic in residential areasimproving circulation and decreasing travel times for commuters.

Northern bypass

The northern bypass is designed to relieve traffic congestion within the historic center without negatively impacting Langer Park. This intervention will allow for better traffic distribution, while preserving one of the city’s most beloved parks.

Construction of Strategic Roundabouts

Rossini proposes the construction of several roundabouts in key points of the city to improve safety and smooth traffic. In particular, the first roundabout will be built at the intersection between viale Tre Martiri and via De Polzer, contributing to making it safer and circulation is smooth in an area with high traffic density. The second roundabout will be located at the entrance to the road that connects the San Bortolo district with the hamlet of Sant’Apollinare, facilitating access and exit from one of the main arteries connecting the center and the hamlets. Finally, the third roundabout could be built behind the “La Fattoria” shopping center, in agreement with the Province, connecting the hamlet of Borsea with the nearby municipality of Pontecchio, improving traffic for residents and visitors to the mall.

As regards access to the Boara bridge, coming from Rovigo, a plan will be studied, different from the one already rejected in the past (READ ARTICLE), to build a roundabout capable of dampening traffic at the convergence between viale Porta Adige and the ring road. Even at the “Da Ponta” intersection, a roundabout seemed impossible, yet a solution was found in line with the regulations.
