«Although we were prepared for a strong influx of pairs, this year’s edition was truly surprising – he has declared Ruggero Sassi, president of the Fise Emilia Romagna regional committee. – We even risked overbooking but in the end we managed to make sure we didn’t leave anyone out. I am pleased to note that our effort was rewarded by an event in which I received practically only praise. First of all for the land. Excellent. Then for the overall logistics, for the routes… In short, for a change the vast majority of competitors and instructors were more than satisfied. And we with them.”
«Technically – continues Sassi – we saw some good work in the field. If I really have to find something to say, if anything it concerns the possibility of making the less experienced pairs jump a few more times on the grass before the championships. It could help give security to the horses and make the riders more comfortable too.”
Among the multitude of titles awarded, Sassi focuses on two in particular: the Overall and the one reserved for pony teams.«This year the Assoluto went to Chiaudani Christmas – it is still the president who comments – and his horsemanship is unquestionable. Seeing 60-70 children at the awards ceremony, all proud of belonging to their team really gave me a strong emotion. About thirty teams participated, all enthusiastic and with the right spirit… Really nice.”
The Taylor’s Bee summer regional championship of Emilia Romagna therefore goes away on a super positive note which photographs a region in which clubs, supporters, instructors, Committee and above all athletes row unitedly towards the same objectives, animated by the same healthy enthusiasm.
