Forlì, Nicolò’s mother is a candidate in the elections

That strength that the community managed to give her in the most difficult moment of her life is fuel and stimulus for an electoral campaign that has become very difficult since Friday 24 May when her 26-year-old son Nicolò Ulivi died in a road accident. Albertina Zuccherelli has pain in her heart, but she manages to smile when she talks about that boy taken away from her affections too soon. «When I was asked to run as a candidate – says Zuccherelli – I first discussed it with my family, with my husband Deris and my son Nicolò, who told me they would support me, also because I was joining a civic list, without party membership. Now, after the tragedy, having seen the community that was close to me has given me, as well as my husband, an extra push to face this moment.”

Albertina Zuccherelli is a candidate from the Romiti district for “La Civica-Forlì Cambia” which supports Gian Luca Zattini as mayor of Forlì. Her candidacy is not linked to any political party and is born from a strong civic sense that derives from years of commitment to the territory and to others. «After 20 years active as a volunteer in the Romiti neighborhood committee, in the parish and in the Red Cross, I found the desire to commit myself for the city and for the neighborhoods – says Albertina Zuccherelli -. The experience gained pushed me to get involved. What I want to carry forward is greater collaboration between neighborhoods, without parochialism. Without forgetting the degradation of the historic center.” Home and business in Romiti, she too, like many families, had to deal with the devastation. «After the flood we had many volunteers at home, friends of my son Nicolò, and in the shop. So I moved to lend a hand at the sports hall, to Stefano Valmori who organized the help.”
