Today 5 June 2024 marks the 210th anniversary of the foundation of the Carabinieri, which since 13 July 1814, the date of its foundation, has cooperated in the defense of the national territory and is engaged in the delicate task of protecting public order and safety .

The Novara Command

On the occasion of the anniversary, the Carabinieri Provincial Command of Novara also wants to highlight the intense commitment made by the military in the fight against illegality and in particular in the fight against the so-called “gender violence”, within which the ‘Arma is committed to qualifying Judicial Police Officers with the aim of supporting victims in their delicate reporting process.

This Provincial Command continues to focus its commitment to guaranteeing growing security, ensuring a widespread control service of the territory on a daily basis, both in the larger inhabited centers as well as in the most distant rural areas, and intervening quickly, in collaboration also with the other Law enforcement, in emergency cases. At the provincial level, the specialized divisions of the Anti-adulteration and Health Unit and the Carabinieri Labor Inspectorate Unit have carved out a particularly important role for themselves and have proven to be fundamental in the integrated control activities on production activities, with particular attention to the health and safety of workers . Similarly, with regards to the prevention and repression of environmental crimes, the precious expertise of the Forestry Carabinieri was exploited, who achieved significant results during the year.

The numbers

In the last 12 months, 268 arrests were carried out by the soldiers of the Carabinieri Provincial Command of Novara, while 1,746 people were released in a state of freedom. During the activities aimed at preventing and combating all forms of illegality, approximately 20,776 inspection services and patrols, which identified 64,591 people and checked 40,319 vehicles.
2,119 fines were also raised against the Security Council for an amount of approximately 583,000 euros.
