Sanremo. The agents of the State Police of the Sanremo Commissariat arrested a nineteen-year-old foreigner while he was trying to steal a luxury car in Corso Marconi. On the morning of June 4, the agents of the Sanremo police station arrested a nineteen-year-old Tunisian citizen after he was found aboard a large-engined car while he was trying to steal it.
At around 6am a crew of the Flying Squad, upon request for intervention at 112 NUE, was urgently sent to Corso Marconi, as a person had been reported trying to steal a car. Once on site, the officers identified the car, a luxury sports car, and inside they noticed a young man who, upon seeing the officers, attempted to flee. The operators managed to stop the man who immediately became aggressive, kicking and punching the officers to escape, but he was quickly stopped.
The owner of the vehicle approached and the car was returned to him, but the man immediately also noticed that his car had been stolen.

in fact, with difficulty he was made to enter the service car, but to oppose this, he also damaged the police car.
The police intervention ended with the arrest of the young man for attempted theft of the car, resistance and violence against a public official, as well as for damaging the company car. Furthermore, once inside the Commissariat offices the foreigner also damaged the ceiling of part of the security rooms.
At the end of the formal proceedings, the young man, as ordered by the Deputy Public Prosecutor of Imperia, was made available to the AG to validate the arrest. In the late morning of the same day, having validated the arrest, the investigating judge ordered his precautionary custody in prison.
The arrest is the result of an intense control of the territory carried out by the Flying Squad personnel, thanks to which the perpetrator of a crime against property, which was also irregular on Italian territory, was immediately brought to justice.
