Rivaltella (King) – Ferrarini signed the preliminary contract for the purchase of a ground in Masone, in the municipality of Reggio Emilia, with the aim of building a new production plant. The area of ​​the former Aia complexwith a total surface area of 180 thousand square meters and a potential for 50 thousand covered square meters“will constitute the cornerstone of the development path of the company which, one year after entering the orbit of the Pini group – operator of the pig market with approximately 2 billion in turnover in 2023 – has seen a new impetus for its national consolidation and international,” we read in a note.

In 2023, Ferrarini recorded a turnover of 150 million euros and a 15% increase in exports over the previous year. A trend confirmed in the first months of 2024, with a increase in turnover by 15% and volumes by 8%. From what we understand, the new plant will be used for the production of cooked ham and other cured meatsthus strengthening the supply chain integration project with the other structures of the group, such as the Pini Italia slaughterhouses in Castelverde (Cr) and Ghinzelli in Viadana (Mn).
