In today’s session a resolution was approved for the reduction of waste in Altamura schools. However, regarding the previous resolutions, the Children’s Municipal Council obtained a first result: the municipal administration announced today that the funds for the purchase of sports equipment for the gyms will be increased. Between smiles, final greetings and ritual photos, the Municipal Council of Children makes an appointment for the next school year, in which the renewal will take place with the elections in primary schools.
The councilor for public education Lucia Diele declared: “The last children’s municipal council was celebrated, for a resolution on waste reduction in the schools of the city of Altamura. Meeting the children and listening to their requests and proposals is always an opportunity for discussion and enrichment. Their eyes, their looks, their words are living testimony to the story of the school and city present. This council achieved a great result announced by the administration at the meeting, namely the increase in funds for the purchase of sports equipment for gyms. The school can and must do its part, becoming active in considerations, in meetings, on these occasions of great participation. I thank the Children’s Mayor and all the little counselors of all the primary and lower secondary schools in the city. I thank all the school managers, teachers and schools who are committed, with the little ones, for the well-being of the common good! If we all started to educate the little ones and involve them in initiatives like these, we would certainly create glimmers and innovative paths in their and our future“.
