One of these companies is theAncona who is racing against time to avoid the risk of not registering for the next Serie C championship. As reported byHandle, Ancona is risking not registering for the Lega Pro championship due to the current failure to pay the March and April salaries to members. A payment that should be made by tonight at midnight in order to register for the championship. The Mayor is in contact with Mauro Canil, 5% shareholder of the company and with the CEO Roberta Nocelli, to avoid the club’s failure to register after being saved in the photo finish. The mayor also sent a message to the Malaysian owner of Ancona, Tony Tiong, but has not yet had any response. At the moment the company is in good standing with the guarantee already deposited but the same is not true with the payment of salaries. If Ancona does not regularize the position by midnight and does not submit the application, it would leave a vacancy which would lead to the admission of Recanatese.
Milan observes carefully
But why is Milan interested in this situation? The Via Aldo Rossi club has started the entire procedure to register for the Lega Pro championship but could only be admitted in one case. In fact, in the case of failure to register Ancona Milan’s registration request should not be automatically accepted. According to the rules, a club should be relegated. The Covisoc (Professional Football Club Supervisory Commission) phase begins tomorrow. When irregularities or shortcomings are found in the registrations of the clubs by the FIGC body, only then should the conditions for Milan’s registration be created. Paradoxically though for Milan it would be ideal for Ancona to submit their registration at the last minute.
