The acceleration of the murder of Luigi Ilardo and the leak of information from Caltanissetta

In the episode “Cose Nostre” broadcast yesterday on ‘Rai 1’, the many doubts surrounding the Ilardo case were reconstructed.
The testimonies of the three guests of the program are crucial: Luana Ilardodaughter of the infiltrator, Mario Ravidà, former inspector and Commissioner of the State Police (then working for Criminalpol and later for the Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate) and Pasquale Pacifico, deputy prosecutor of Caltanissetta who dealt with the assassination. “I have always had the perception that, regarding this matter, not everything has come to light” said the magistrate reiterating that “justice collaborator Giuffré told us that there had been a leak of information coming from judicial circles in Caltanissetta”: Ilardo told the magistrates that he wanted to take the plunge once and for all and become a collaborator with justice. A decision covered by the utmost confidentiality but which someone let out of the court offices.
“Those covers – Pacifico continued – those para-institutional relationships that probably allowed, created the humus for the commission of this murder. And above all, it was not possible to identify the person who would have carried out that famous leak which led to the acceleration of the murder”.
“The beginning of the end“, as Luana said, it began when her father “he suddenly returned home, opened the safe and realized that it was totally emptied. She was totally out of her mind, she was a crazy devil“. According to Ravidà it was a “warning”.
A very unusual fact since the Ilardo family had very high contacts: just think of the relationship with Gianni Chisenacriminal linked to services, at the center of many mysteries, including the Moro case.
“A very important friendship was born between my father and him, who were also the same age. My father was fascinated by this totally borderline character” Luana said.
“They did not disdain carrying out real crimes such as kidnappings, trafficking of weapons, explosives – Ravidà remarked – and in this context they also had a closeness to right-wing environments. In that context they met Pietro Rampulla who was the bomb disposal expert for the Capaci massacre”.
