The 27th Edition of the “V. Scaramuzza” International Competition concluded at the “O Stillo” Music High School in Crotone

The 27th edition of the International Competition “V. Skirmish”. This prestigious competition stands out for two fundamental characteristics: in addition to the cash prizes, the winners receive the opportunity to perform in a concert with the orchestra, regularly paid and included in the Association’s Concert Season. Furthermore, all activities carried out in collaboration with the Association have legal value for teaching purposes, since the Association is included in the Ministerial Fus.

The competition saw the participation of hundreds of young artists from all over the world, examined by a jury of Masters composed of Antonella Barbarossa (President), Filippo Balducci, Fernando Romano, Mariarosa Romano and Lorenzo Testini. The competition was divided into two parts: by Category and by Execution.

In the first part, dedicated to the Categories, the following artists were awarded:

Piano Section:

  • Marco Morciano
  • Daniele Torchia
  • Riccardo Caputo
  • Graziella Calabrò
  • Claudia Servidio
  • Agostino Lisi

Guitar Section:
Flute Section:
Four Hands Piano Section:

  • Francesca and Alessia Moscatelli

In the second part, dedicated to Piano Performance, the following were awarded:

  • Giovanni Quero
  • Pietro Mendicino
  • Rebecca Ventrella

The presence of numerous city authorities underlined the strong bond between the Association, which has been committed to promoting culture and tourism for over 40 years, and the city of Crotone, known for its hospitality towards anyone lucky enough to visit it.
