Rome, 4 June. (askanews) – The GSE Road Show – “Let’s give energy to change” – stopped in the Trentino capital – organized to raise awareness of the incentive mechanisms and spread the culture of sustainability through specific meetings with schools, local public administrations and businesses .

The event began at 9.30, at the Liceo Scientifico Galileo Galilei, with the President, Paolo Arrigoni, and the GSE technicians who, using a biomethane car made available by the sector association, met with the Trentino students. Thanks to a dedicated session of the format “The energy transition: GSE meets the Schools”, the topics of the culture of sustainability, the positive impacts of decarbonisation and the benefits of energy sharing were addressed. The session opened with welcome greetings from the Vice President and Councilor for education, culture and sport, policies for the family, for young people and for equal opportunities of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Francesca Gerosa, from the Mayor of Trento, Franco Ianeselli, the general director of the education and culture department of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Francesca Mussino and the school director of the Galileo Galilei scientific high school, Elena Ruggieri.

Also for this ninth stage of the Road Show, an Information Desk dedicated to CERs was set up through which the Specialized Account Managers of the GSE dedicated specific meetings to delve deeper into the topics related to Self-Consumption Configurations and in particular to Energy Communities.

At 3.30 pm the Councilor for urban planning, energy and transport of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Mattia Gottardi and the President of the Consortium of Trentino Municipalities, Paride Gianmoena, began, with institutional greetings, the event “The energy transition: GSE meets municipalities, public administrations and public subsidiaries”. During the meeting, in addition to the presentation of the many tools that the GSE makes available to local authorities, the “VIVI – Territorio Vivibile” Award was awarded, dedicated to virtuous municipalities that have distinguished themselves in the implementation of energy requalification interventions of public property. The local public administrations awarded with the plaque were: the Municipality of Trento, the Municipality of Folgaria, the Municipality of Vallelaghi and the Municipality of Pergine Valsugana. The certificate of “Testimonial of the energy transition” was instead awarded to the municipalities of Ledro and Trambileno and to the Community of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza.

On this occasion, the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, and the President of the GSE, Paolo Arrigoni, signed a collaboration agreement aimed at promoting the energy transition of the Trentino area.

“There are 76 Trentino municipalities assisted and supported by the GSE in the implementation of energy efficiency interventions and in the self-production of renewable energy. Thanks to their testimony and the collaboration signed together with President Fugatti, we hope to involve the other 90 local administrations in paths capable to combine the needs of the territories with the decarbonisation of consumption” – declared the president of the GSE Paolo Arrigoni.

At 5.30 pm the last appointment of the information day aimed at representatives of trade associations and local businesses. The works were opened by the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, together with the President of the Trento Chamber of Commerce, Giovanni Bort. Through the dedicated format “The energy transition: GSE meets companies and associations” all the services that the GSE makes available were illustrated with a focus on energy efficiency and the PNRR funds dedicated by the GSE to the agricultural sector and widespread self-consumption . The meeting, in addition to allowing a discussion with the GSE on the incentive tools that best respond to the needs of the local production fabric, was an opportunity to analyze, with a specific focus, the characteristics of Transition 5.0 and to learn in detail the prerogatives and benefits of renewable energy communities.
