What he says about himself
Born in 1960 in Prato but Livorno by adoption, I come from a working class family whose rights and dignity I strongly claim. A merchant mother and a foundry worker father have always conveyed to me and my brothers the sense of duty and respect for the rules but also the importance of committing to grow and achieve one’s goals. Thanks go to my parents for having taken it upon themselves, with great sacrifices, to offer their children a better future.

This is why after high school I decided to enroll in law school. Having arrived one step away from the end of my university studies, I receive an offer that I cannot refuse: to collaborate as a correspondent for the Corriere dello Sport. This job brought together my great lifelong passions, sport and journalism. After a few months of trying to do both, I was completely sucked into the world of printed paper which took me to Livorno in 1998.

It was love at first sight and I immediately understood that I couldn’t live anywhere else. Livorno gave me love, family and a very satisfying professional career and it is here that I decided to raise my two daughters and live. Today, at 64 years old and after a career that has allowed me to get to know the local fabric in all its nuances, the need to get involved for our city and to give my contribution to improving what is wrong has become clear to me. . It’s the right time to enter the field and apply. Being outside the political dynamics that have penalized this land for years allows me to have the right detachment and vision needed for a decisive change of pace.
