A 48-year-old Albanian was arrested by the Carabinieri for attempted murder: yesterday he shot his neighbor, a 56-year-old Egyptian.
Attempted murder, 48-year-old arrested
The Carabinieri of the Operational Section of the Vigevano Company Command have QD, a 48-year-old Albanian resident in Vigevano, arrested on charges of attempted murder. The arrival of the Carabinieri
Alerted by NUE 112, the Carabinieri intervened on the spot in a few minutes, assisted by personnel from the NOR – Radiomobile Section, from the Vigevano Carabinieri Station and from the local Police Station. Traffic in via Gravellona was discontinued as a precaution.
QD, barricaded himself in the courtyard, he asked to speak to a soldier from the Operations Unit whom he knew, refusing to deal with anyone else. The arrival of the indicated superintendent, free from duty and specially arrived on site at the request of his colleagues, allowed the situation to be resolved in a short time. The man surrendered without resistance, allowing his capture.
The Carabinieri of the Operations Section carried out investigations on the site of the event, finding the gun used in the attack, two shell casings and seven unexploded shots of the relevant caliber, as well as a round still inserted in the magazine. All the material found was subjected to seizure.
Not life threatening
The victim, transported in code red to the “San Matteo” polyclinic in Pavia, his life is not in danger. After being treated, the 56-year-old was discharged with a prognosis of 21 days.
In jail
