“10 million of municipal assets invested in a non-transparent fund”

“The housing is not there, the construction site is shrouded in uncertainty and the path to recovering the area and placing apartments on the market, including social housing, has had too many unexplained setbacks. Clarity is needed from the Mayor on the construction of the Novello District: the people of Cesena have invested 10 million euros (10,145,000 to be precise) in a real estate fund that is managing the construction of the neighborhood without transparency”. The request comes from Marco Casali, centre-right mayoral candidate in Cesena.

“The same real estate fund is now telling us about an unspecified review of the planning without telling us the objectives: frankly it is unacceptable. At this point one wonders what the 10 million of the municipal assets, and therefore of all the people of Cesena, were invested for. To build housing, also for the benefit of those sections of the population in difficulty, or for the usual real estate speculation operation of which Cesena has unfortunately already been a victim in its past? If this is the answer to the housing problem, the way it is developing has the appearance of another great maneuver of the ‘capitalized socialism’ so dear to this left that governs us, things are very bad. The need for public housing in Cesena is also cubital because compared to Forlì we have 700 fewer Erp houses and in over 60 years of government this left has done nothing for the least fortunate, precisely those who in propaganda say they want to help and protect. We are re-proposing the ex-Peep neighborhood of Sant’Egidio – concludes Marco Casali – with a project already ready and which could immediately provide satisfaction to this unresolved problem”.
