The Cagliari looks to the future in view of the next season of A leaguewaiting to know the name of the successor of Claudio Ranieri. One of the first moves of Nereo Bonato, rossoblù sporting director, is to try to lock down the most important players, from which to start again after their recent salvation. One of these is undoubtedly the central defender Alberto Dossena (here our focus on the rossoblù number 4), who had an important impact on the rossoblù rearguard both in the second part of the season in the lower division and in the one concluded in the top division.
Future
As written on these pages yesterday, Monday 3 June, the situation regarding the future of Dossena it is in full evolution. The former Avellino central defender is currently tied by a contract with Cagliari with deadline set for 2027after the renewal signed on 30 August 2023. His name, however, is on the notebooks of several Serie A teams, with Bologna, Florentine And How who have shown interest in him as often reported in the national media in recent months. At the moment, according to what our editorial staff has gathered, there have not yet been any meetings with Cagliari to discuss his future. The important aspect, however, certainly lies in the intention of the player and his entourage remain at Cagliari also next season. As regards, however, the interest from the clubs mentioned previously, also in this case at the moment there have been no approaches with Dossena’s entourage, aimed at confirming the player – at least at this stage – in the rossoblù also for the 2024-25.
