The Catania Railway Police have reported a 32-year-old man from Catania and two Americans aged 46 and 58, suspected of having daubed paint on a wall in a railway area, in a state of freedom for the crime of defacement. In particular, the Polfer agents, during a surveillance service in the city railway stations aimed at preventing crimes, arrived at the Cannizzaro station and were suspicious by the presence of two cars parked near the fence and by three men who, upon seeing the policemen, tried in vain to climb over the fence to escape.
Caught red-handed
The suspects, however, were stopped by the officers who noticed how two of them had their hands and clothes dirty with paint, the smell of which was present throughout the area where, in fact, dozens and dozens of cans of paint were later found sprays of different colors, diffuser caps for spray cans, jars of vinyl emulsion, and other work materials including buckets, gloves, brushes and rollers.
The three writers, suspected of having daubed a perimeter wall of the Cannizzaro station on which there was fresh paint, in addition to the report to the Judicial Authority, were combined with a sanction pursuant to the Railway Police regulation for undue presence in the railway area. The above for the purposes of exercising the constitutionally guaranteed right to freedom of the press and in respect of the suspects who cannot be considered guilty until an irrevocable sentence or decree of conviction is issued.
Walls defaced at school
Vandals entered the school complex of Priest Francesco Castronovo in via Libertà of the teaching management of the Bagnera club. Two cameras were destroyed and the walls were smeared with everything found in the school complex: paints and colours. During the raid several windows were also destroyed. An attempted introduction had already been recorded in recent days and the images of the attempted introduction duly reported by the school director Caterina Oliveri have already been acquired by the investigators.
