Genoa has some players in the prestigious international event of Euro 2024. The Genoese edition of La Repubblica explains that three rossoblù players are expected at the continental event: the striker Retegui with Italy (currently starting in the test against Turkey), Malinovskyi with Ukraine and Puscas with Romania. In particular, it is the Romanian striker who is being looked at: he is returning to Pegli after six months spent at Bari, but he is not part of the plans of the rossoblù club who would like to sell him. If Puscas manages to produce a series of convincing performances with his national team, he could be sold for important sums.
There are also other rossoblù players involved with their respective national teams: Haps with Suriname involved in the World Cup qualifiers and Vasquez with Mexico playing in the USA for the America’s Cup. Furthermore, Accornero has been called up to the Under 20 team, while Fini is in the Under 21 team. The club intends to keep Marcandalli for the training camp with the first team and loan Fini and Accornero again.
Regarding the other situations, the obligatory redemption for Coda by Cremonese has disappeared as they lost the playoff final against Venezia. However, it will not be a problem to place the center forward in double figures again this year. Precisely regarding Venezia, the lagoon club should pay a bonus to Grifone for the sale of Candela.
