The President of the Region, Stefano Bonaccini, leader of the Democratic Party in the European elections in the North-East constituency, was yesterday in Forlimpopoli, visiting two local companies (Nova System and Elettromeccanica Angelini) and then the Civil Protection, together with the mayor and re-candidate to the next administrative elections Milena Garavini and the candidates of the ‘Forlimpopoli Futura’ list. Then to Panighina di Bertinoro, where he met the citizens and the business world of the industrial area, together with the mayor and territorial secretary of the Forlì Democratic Party, Gessica Allegni, recalling the commitment made by the Region for the financing of the Panighina roundabout, construction site now in its final phase. Last stop for the day in Fiumana di Predappio with the mayoral candidate, Monica Fucchi, and the candidates from the ‘Predappio Futura – Democracy Environment Inclusion’ list.
“They are competent, young figures who know the territory and their communities and who deserve trust – said Bonaccini speaking of the two mayoral candidates, Garavini and Fucchi –. I feel a positive wind, I am convinced that we will gain satisfaction even in the challenges that seem more difficult to us.” He then got to the heart of the themes of the campaign for the European elections. “Without Europe, Romagna would also be much poorer – he stated –. If we had listened to those who wanted us out of the euro, our companies would not have the strength to compete on international markets as they do, so much so that Emilia-Romagna has achieved yet another export record for its products. Without Europe there wouldn’t be a large part of those funds that have allowed us, for example, to guarantee free nursery schools in the mountains”.
Bonaccini will return to Forlì this evening for the Democratic Party party, together with the mayoral candidate Graziano Rinaldini. The appointment is in Piazza Morgagni (in case of bad weather at the Taverna Verde in via Somalia, 2). From 8pm there will be music by Khorakhanè, at 9pm there will be a dialogue between Bonaccini and Rinaldini on the central themes of the electoral campaign for the European and administrative elections, at the end of which there will be a toast and the music will continue.
The visit ended up in the sights of Albert Bentivogli, city secretary of the League, city councilor and re-candidate: “We hope that coming to our city will also be the opportunity for Bonaccini to finally take on the responsibilities that fall to the Emilia-Romagna Region for the disaster of the flood”.
