The decision on the new coach has arrived.
Turin transfer market: Paolo Vanoli will coach the Granata next season, taking over from Ivan Juric. The coach, fresh from promotion to Serie A with Venezia, is one step away from saying yes to Urbano Cairo, while an agreement between the two clubs would also be very close.
This was reported by ‘Sky Sport’, according to which Torino has decided to pay Venezia the million euro clause necessary to free Vanoli from his ties with the lagoon players. Net of this possibility, however, the dialogue between the two clubs would be open to also evaluate possible alternative solutions.
In fact, there is also the possibility that Vanoli moves to Torino without taking advantage of the clause, and perhaps with the inclusion of technical counterparts such as Ali Dembelé. The latter, already at Venezia in the last Serie B championship, could therefore remain in the black and green with the approval of the Piedmontese management.
Again speaking to ‘Sky’, Urbano Cairo himself spoke about Vanoli while remaining apparently tight-lipped: “At the moment he is a Venezia member, and I’m not talking about other people’s members. However, I can say that he achieved a splendid promotion, so congratulations to him and to Venezia.”
