An Atlantic depression arriving on the Mediterranean will affect Northern Italy and the Tyrrhenian slopes of the central regions tomorrow. The operations room of the regional Civil Protection of Tuscany issued aYellow weather alert for strong thunderstorms valid from 9pm today until 8am tomorrow, Tuesday 2 July. The areas affected are the entire coastal strip starting from Versilia (adjacent internal areas included), north-eastern Apennine areas and Valtiberina.

From this afternoon and throughout the day tomorrow, increased instability with possible scattered thunderstorms. The phenomena locally and temporarily could be of strong intensity, in particular on the coastal strip, the Florentine and Arezzo Apennines between this evening and tomorrow morning. Other thunderstorms possible this afternoon, in the center-south, and in the central hours of tomorrow in the north-west.
