14th consecutive victory for the women’s team. The semi-final against Varedo will be played next week

Legnano – With last night’s 3-0 victory against the Piedmontese team from Trecate they made it 14 consecutive victories of the young girls of Vomien.

Last night’s match played within the friendly walls of the home gym of the Rodari primary schools was considered the quarter-finals of the Pgs provincial youth championship.

The meeting was very balanced. The first set, after a start entirely in favor of the white and green girls ahead with more than nine points, at the end saw a comeback from Trecate who was the first to get the set point at 24 to 23. A point-to-point battle that saw Vomien winning the set 29 to 27 by a hair’s breadth.

In the second set the same rocket start for the locals who, unlike the first, did not allow themselves to be caught and easily won the set 25 to 10. A hard-fought third set, Trecate’s team immediately took the lead while Vomien struggled to get her team into gear attacks. Coach Francesca Motta stops the game with the girls trailing 9 to 4. Was a scolding enough? We will never know this, the fact is that the girls overtake their opponents and at 20 all they take the lead, winning 25 to 22 sets and match.

The next seventh semi-final against Varedo, the winner of the double challenge will be able to go to the final to win the title of provincial champion on June 22nd in Cinisello.
