Blitz of the majority. Tip in 15 minutes: pass the management report

In the wonderful world of sport there is a team game called “Dodgeball”, born in the 20th century, as a competitive evolution of Prisoner ball.

It has a peculiarity: each match is made up of two 15-minute halves and, in turn, each half is made up of as many sets as possible.

The opponents play on equal terms: half on one field, half on the other.

It is the sport put on the field by the majority in the city hall this morning. The “playing ground” is that of the highest meeting.

The “prisoner ball” is the agenda item. And in the first match, which lasted 15 minutes, respecting the rules, there were as many sets as possible, oops: points on the agenda.

At 9 o’clock, as per the call, the Mr. Stano – as always, but for the last time before retirement: happy birthday Erasmo! – made the appeal on the recommendation of the prime minister Domenico Pinto.

In strictly alphabetical order it marks 14 present And eleven absent: the seats that remained empty, however – except for some of the majority – belonged to most of the opposition councillors.

The match was unequal: on the other side of the pitch, “defending the goal”, there was only one Francesco Toscano (FdI), left alone by colleagues.

And everything proceeds at the speed of light.

Mayor Francesco Paolo Ricci asks about give up for bedthe examination and approval of the management report for the financial year 2023 and related annexes”: thirteen votes in favour, one against (Toscano).

They are also given up as beds amendments presented by the manager of the social policy service (21 May) and of the accounting service (24 May).

The president asks the mayor if he wants to report on the report, Ricci replies: “Having already passed the committee, having received the favorable opinion of the auditors, I ask that we proceed with the resolution”. Provision passed through the sieve even after the warning arrived from the Prefecture – as a necessary act – at the end of May (read here).

We thus proceed to vote on the entire amended measure. Needless to say: thirteen votes in favor, one against (Toscano).

I request immediate enforcement”, runs Ricci. Mirror voting.

The councilor Christian Farella asks for the point to be withdrawn “Regulations for the management of the real estate assets of the Municipality of Bitonto approved with resolution of the Municipal Council n. 36 of 14 May 2020” for a further in-depth investigation.

The point on “Change to the financial forecast budget 2024/2026 n. 11 (art. 175, paragraph 2, of Legislative Decree no. 267/2000)” of the councilor Francesco Brandi.

Meanwhile, after twelve minutes, the councilor also enters Franco Natilla. But, It goes without saying: thirteen votes in favour, two against (Toscano and Natilla)

After a minute and a half the councilor also enters Domenico Damascelli (FdI).

The point on the motion, presented by five opposition councillors, on “Increase in waste tax for Apulian municipalities as a result of the ruling of the Council of State” is postponed – to evaluate what the Region is putting in place – it comes postponed unanimously.

The meeting ends at 9.15am. Triple whistle and au revoir.
