Aversa (Caserta) – Great success for the pianist Alessandro Marano in the context of “Pianofestival Spring” in Aversa. Sunday evening, despite the unusual and late time, 9.30pm, because beforehand there was the celebration of Corpus Domini, the church of the Immaculate Conception, the concert location, was packed and dozens of people remained standing throughout the recital. Moreover, Marano, an internationally renowned concert pianist, had put together a very attractive programme, especially with a second part dedicated to Liszt, made up of some of the most virtuosic pages of piano literature. Above all, the performance of Ballade n.2, in the initial stages of the concert, was much appreciated by the audience, with standing ovation applause.

“Alessandro Marano is fresh from the enormous success of Nino Rota’s concert for piano and orchestra in the Gran Teatro del Casino of Sanremo. – tell us Giuseppe Lettieri, promoter of this exceptional art and music event like the Spring Pianofestival – Arriving in the city in the early afternoon, he also had time to take a short tour of our Aversa, visiting the theater and some areas of the historic center. The program in the theater began with a, so to speak, calm Haydn, to then arrive at a wild Liszt, who as I said in the presentation reflects a bit the land of origin of Marano, who as a good Calabrian, seasons everything with the spicy! Virtuoso, good and precise in his touch, but also and above all a nice person who I hope to invite to the city as soon as possible. I am also happy with the public who, despite the time, flocked to the concert, a clear signal that there can and must be a more beautiful Aversa. With the concerts at the Immaculate Conception we are making this splendid church known to many people from Aversa, and not only, who did not know it”.

In fact, the church, which dates back to the Baroque period, contains one of the most beautiful and particular wooden coffered panels in Aversa, and is the seat of the Archconfraternity of Maria SS.Immacolata, which gave full availability to Lettieri and the master Antonino Cascio to host this precious initiative. The next concert will be Sunday 9 Juneat 8 pm, traditional time, with the arrival, directly from the United States where he teaches at the Keyboard Department at Texas A&M University, of the Argentine pianist Luis Sanchezalways ad Free admission.
