The Municipality of Rimini alongside the most vulnerable. In recent days the municipal administration, represented of the councilor for social protection Kristian Gianfreda and the councilor for the budget Juri Magriniheld a meeting (in the context of administration/social forces relations) with the trade union representatives of acronyms CGIL, CISL and UIL with the primary objective of evaluating and exploring possible ‘ways’ to strengthen support for vulnerable categories through Tari concessions (waste tax).

During the meeting, the administration’s desire to increase the fund intended for Tariche benefits was highlighted the current year amounts to 245 thousand euros and refers to three population groups: pensioners up to an ISEE of 13 thousand euros, families with a maximum ISEE of 9 thousand euros and people who have lost their jobs for just cause with an ISEE of up to 25 thousand euros.

The councilors Gianfreda and Magrini would be to provide a structural increase of the fund to 300 thousand euros already for 2024 and reach 350 thousand for 2025 and 2026which would make it possible to cover all the requests for contributions received and to meet the needs of citizens.

Another focal point of the meeting also revolved around the possibility of increase the ISEE threshold of the second band of benefits concerning families from 9 to 13 thousand ISEE in order to extend the pool of beneficiaries, offering broader and more inclusive support.

“Having taken note of the requests received from the unions and the importance of increasing the fund, our commitment is to enhance the resources available in the tender with the next budget change in October, with an addition of 50 thousand this year and 100 thousand in the coming years – explain the municipal councilors Gianfreda and Magrini – We are already working with the offices to explore this opportunity which would allow us to satisfy the entire list of questions and above all to give a concrete answer to the elderly, families and citizens most in difficulty from an economic point of view, also aware of a context national not simple due to the consequences of inflation. In light of this, it is Our concern is to maintain an active dialogue with the trade unions, so as to ensure that our proposals are adequate and formulate the best solutions for our community, looking above all at the needs of the most vulnerable categories – they conclude.
