Luca Barbareschi, Paola Turci, Premiata Forneria Marconi singing De André, Max Angioni, the Tony Award Stefano Massini: are just some of the protagonists of third edition of the “Summer in the Fortress” that from June 28 will crowd the Medici Fortress of Arezzo for a summer of music and performing arts. Concerts, theatrical performances, dance performances, book presentations and conferences organized by Guido D’Arezzo Foundation chaired by the mayor of the city Alessandro Ghinelli and directed by Lorenzo Cinatti, with the collaboration of Municipality of Arezzo, Officine della Cultura, Teatro Verdi Montecatini, La Filostoccola and Mengo Music Fest. Among the events not to be missed “Barba live” with Luca Barbareschi which inaugurates the exhibition Friday 28 June, an ironic, counter-current, pop and free theatrical show after two successful television seasons. “Barba live” is a journey into the culture of yesterday, today and the future with an intelligent and curious approach: with a sense of humor, Barbareschi catapults us into a world without the politically incorrect, without censorship and free to tackle compelling topics thanks to the powerful language of the band’s music Marco Zurzolo.

It continues on Friday 19 July with Max Angioni who returns to the theater with his new comedy show “Even less”a show in which the actor does not spare his proverbial self-irony to entertain the audience, an imaginative world through which small daily events and great existential questions are filtered, passing from memories of first times and great conquests to the questions more curious and original about history and the meaning of life.

A special event on Saturday 20 July: the famous Premiata Forneria Marconi, group born in 1970 in a mix of rock, progressive and classical music creating a single fascinating entity, sings De André forty-five years after the “Fabrizio De André and PFM in concert” tour. The prog band returns to stages throughout Italy to celebrate the successful partnership with the Genoese singer-songwriter with “PFM sings De André Anniversary” during which, in addition to the original setlist, songs from “La Buona Novella” completely revised by the band will be performed. Furthermore, the stage will see a spectacular lineup with three exceptional guests as Flavio Premoli (PFM founder) and the unmistakable magic of his keyboards, Michele Ascolesehistoric guitarist of Faber and Luca Zabbinileader of Barock Project.
