‘Motorcycle tour of the Gargano’ 7-8-9 June ’24 “On the roads of Puglia DOC”
Everything is ready for the “ribbon cutting” which will kick off the Gargano Motorcycle Tour which “ROLLERS and ROCKERS”ASI Federated Automotoclub of Bitontodedicates to two wheels with the Event“ON THE ROADS OF PUGLISITA’ DOC”.The prestigious event included in the ASI calendar of TRICOLOR CIRCUIT, will affect the beautiful streets of the Gargano area from 7 to 9 June. The event enjoys the important patronage ofPuglia regionof the Cities of Vieste And Peschicias well as sponsored by prestigious companies, such asDivella AndKimia.
As many as 35 crews have registered, many coming from outside the region, including Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Marche and Tuscany; there are two “classic” categories of particular historical interest up to 1960, among which we mention a Ganna Sport with a Rudge engine from 1933, an Itala 500 from 1934, a Sumbeam 9° 600 from 1933 as well as numerous more modern “legendary” motorcycles of the 1990s 70 such as the Honda 750, Kawasaki 900 and the Guzzi 850 GT California.
Appointment Friday 7 June at Manfredonia (FG) at the Fire Brigade and Red Cross Museum where the presentation conference of the event will be held at 11.30 am in the presence of the President of the ASI Dr. Alberto Scuro, the authorities and all the participating riders. Followed by a very interesting visit with the story of the history of the Muso, the Fire Brigade and the Italian Red Cross by Dr. Michele Guerra.
On Friday at 6.00 pm the group of motorcyclists will reach the town of Vieste for the presentation of the motorbikes to the citizens and a guided tour of the beautiful “historic center” overlooking the sea.
Saturday 8 June, at 9.00 am departure of the centaurs with destination Umbra Forestwhere a visit to the Museum of the Gargano National Park will follow and they will be able to admire not only the splendid fallow deer, but also all the other fauna that populates the forest. Stop for lunch… in the shade of the oaks and then reach, in the afternoon,Peschici and enjoy its ancient and characteristic historic center. In the evening return to the splendid and welcoming Hotel Pizzomunno.
Sunday dedicated to the “Gargano terraces”, the magnificent coast with the typical roads that lead to the trabucchi still used today for fishing. The caravan will leave promptly at 9.00 to reach Punta San Nicola di Peschici for the visit with an interesting themed conference on the history of trabucchi. This will be followed by an aperitif “with a view” … of the Adriatic Sea!
Return to the hotel for the awaited awards ceremony, lunch and farewell by the entire AUCTIONS AND BALANCERS staff to all participants.
