Arquata del Tronto. Tod’s doubles the factory built after the earthquake – Jobs & Skills

The Municipality of Arquata del Tronto (province of Ascoli Piceno) awarded Diego and Andrea Della Valle the honorary citizenship for social and civil commitment demonstrated after the 2016 earthquake.

The creation of the Tod’s factory in the Arquato area in a short time has, in fact, allowed the population to find an extra boost to react and not abandon their roots. And to achieve this he focused on the most important element: work.

The plant is growing and will employ 200 people when fully operational. The promptness in the reaction to the 2016 earthquake is actually not a new fact for the Tod’s group which has always undertaken initiatives aimed at realizing the core values ​​of solidarity and social commitmentmaking them a common heritage.

Private and public together to carry out projects and operations (from support for the most vulnerable to child protection, etc.), also possible thanks to the choice of the group of donate 1% of net profit to support initiatives in favor of the weakest groups of the community.

Furthermore, Tod’s has activated a collaboration with San Patrignano for the production of ad hoc collections of bags and leather goods, making raw materials and artisan skills available free of charge, e facilitated access to microcredit through an operator that offers financial services to individuals and businesses excluded from the traditional banking system mainly in the Marche region.
