Temporary teacher, new secretary of the Treviso Flc CGIL: Alvise Sponza elected unanimously

TREVISO – Alvise Sponza is the new secretary of the Treviso Flc CGIL. Born in ’89, from Treviso, graduated in ancient sciences from Ca’ Foscari in 2015, precarious teachertrade unionist since 2019 and in the category secretariat since 2023, Sponza was elected unanimously last May 30th general secretary from the assembly of the provincial trade union of knowledge workers. The reins of the category, which counts in the Treviso area, pass to him 1,779, 323 men and 1,456 womenafter the 8 years of Marco Moretti’s mandates.

Who is the new secretary

After some work and internship experiences in the publishing sector, Alvise Sponza embarked on the path of teaching literary subjects in first and second level schools. Currently still a temporary teacher he is carrying out the competitive tests for theentry into the role. «I believe the choice of the assembly for this profile of mine should be read in the name of give value and voice to those who experience a precarious work situation like me, the precarious employment of the school – states the newly elected general secretary of the FLC CGIL of Treviso Alvise Sponza -. For me, this represents a greater responsibility in carrying forward the work carried out by the provincial secretariat in recent years commit to representing and protecting the many workers and the many workers in this sector, who are too little valued economically, professionally and I would say also on a social level due to the fundamental role they play for the communities and for future generations”.
