06.3.2024 – 12.35 pm: The Youth Forum of the Municipality of Potenza and the Unicef Regional Committee announce the presentation of the new version of the ‘UN Convention on the Rights of Children and Adolescents’ as part of the project ‘ The Pigotte ambassadors of rights’.
The event is held on Monday 3 June at 5pm in the evocative setting of the Celestine Chapel.
With the words of the students of the schools of Basilicata, of the children hosted by the Penal Institute of Potenza and of the unaccompanied foreign minors of the local reception facilities, the Pigottes explain, through a graphic representation, the articles of the aforementioned UN Convention .
During the initiative, representatives of Unicef, representatives of the Municipality of Potenza, a delegation of the Provincial Student Council of Potenza and a group of students from the IIS ‘Da Vinci-Nitti’ who actively participated in the implementation will intervene.
With the retranscription of the Convention in simple words, Unicef from Basilicata wants to send a strong message: to help the new generations, wherever they live in the world, to be aware of their rights and to raise awareness among governments, institutions and adults to listen to their voice!
The Youth Forum awaits many of you for an afternoon of reflection and sharing, dedicated to the promotion of rights. (text by the organizers)
