This is what the Regional councilor of the PD, Roberto Cifarelli.
The work that the unions are carrying out to protect the many Lucanian workers must be acknowledged and they must be given credit for the visit of the CEO of Stellantis considering that in 5 years the Lucanian Government has never succeeded.
There are unbridgeable delays – says Cifarelli – due to the responsibility of both the national and regional governments who in a childish way try to shift the responsibility for their shortcomings onto Europe.
In this historical phase it is right to highlight the enormous sacrifices of the workers of the Basilicata plant and above all to highlight the difficulties of the related sector which has halved the workforce and which sees no future ahead.
It is therefore necessary to intensify every useful effort to protect the Stellantis plant and workers and to relaunch the Melfi related industries also through specific regional policies” concludes Roberto Cifarelli.
