ACI Racing Weekend | The second appointment in Imola ends on a high note

The curtain falls on the second round of the ACI Racing weekend in Imola, on a Sunday full of twists and turns.

Between Formula 4 and F.2000

On Sunday morning the Formula 4 cars lined up on the track, with Yamakoshi in front of everyone Once again. When the traffic lights went off, the Japanese maintained control of the race until the checkered flag. Behind him the two US Racing teammates, Beeton and Bohra, they fought for second position. It was the Indian who prevailed, while Beeton due to a ccontact with championship leader Freddie Slater, dropped to 35th position. The Englishman, who had managed to maintain ninth position, was penalized by 25 seconds, thus leaving the points zone. Another Prema driver occupied the last step of the podium in Race 2, the Indian Dion Gowda.

In Race 3, Yamakoshi repeated the same performance as a few hours earlier and seemed close to his third victory of the weekend. Freddie Slater thus achieved his fourth success of the seasonahead of Beeton and Rehm, both US Racing drivers.

The Dutchman, after a short stint in the 24 Hours Nurburgring, he returned to Imola to race in Race 2 and cap the weekend with another win. Masters and Klein closed the podium behind him.

Finally, it was the turn of the categories GT3 and GT Cup, who gave an exciting show to all those present. In GT3 PRO the team Imperiale Sport Car Servicewith Bartholomew and Denes, took his revenge after being excluded from Race 1. The BMW of the Formula E champion, Jake Dennis, she reached the podium together with teammate Jens Klingmann, ahead of the Ferrari AF Corse n.52.

To conclude the weekend was the race of GT Cup which, a few hours later after the checkered flag, saw an upheaval in the standings. There AF Corse of Pegoraro and Patrinicola she managed to recover from fifth to first position. The other Ferrari suffered a penalty and dropped from second position to fifth.
