The councilor of Lista Ferri, Filippo Mirabella, announced his participation in the public meeting, organized by the Pro loco of Avenza, which will be held at Casa Pallini, Monday 3 June at 9 pm: “As Lista Ferri we have been highlighting for two years that Avenza must be a priority, we were the first to organize a meeting with the citizens of Avenza in January 2023 at the municipal hall, experiencing great participation. We periodically presented municipal questions, articles to the press, invited citizens to the city council, supporting their requests, but unfortunately, it pains me to note that none of our proposals have been accepted, no intervention even with respect to dangerous situations such as the unsafe wall in via Turati, which to this day, one year after our complaint, has still not been put into operation safety, representing a serious risk for the inhabitants who have to pass through the area below on a daily basis. Not only were our evidence not listened to but actually on the occasion of my last article, the Avenza Democratic Party “lightened me up” by reducing my commitment and of the Lista Ferri to a simple stroll around Avenza to have a coffee and ask here and there for information on what’s wrong. I think it is easy to understand that due to the work I have carried out in the Carabinieri, commanding the Avenza barracks for more than twenty years, I know the territory and all its critical issues like few others. The citizens of Avenza are tired of living in degradation every day, traveling on roads full of potholes, poor pavements, enduring constant episodes of petty crime. Illegality and degradation fuel the perception of a sense of insecurity, it is the duty of politics to intervene, those in opposition must propose, those who administer must “act”
As far as I’m concerned, I reiterate our proposals:
- Reopen the Avenza municipal police detachment
- provide for a third shift of the municipal police by hiring the policemen on the list.
- Implement the video surveillance system.
- Close the children’s park at night 44.
- Urgently provide for the restoration of streets and sidewalks.
- Optimize pedestrian and vehicular circulation near the itis School.
- Restore decorum throughout the Prada area.
- Investing in events of both a folkloristic and cultural nature.
Avenza is at its limit and cannot yet be left alone, the proposals must be listened to, a short-term timetable prepared, but above all implemented urgently.
Citizens want actions and not words.
