The 210th anniversary of the foundation of the Carabinieri will be celebrated on Wednesday 5 June in Piazza Roma in Benevento.
The ceremony will begin at 10:00 in the presence of civil, military and religious authorities, widows and families of those decorated and victims of duty, orphans assisted by ONAOMAC, delegates of the Military Representation, representatives of the National Carabinieri Association, of the National Forestry Association and combat and weapons associations, banners of the Province and Municipality of Benevento, as well as school groups from the capital.
An array made up of armed units representing the territorial and forestry components of the Province of Benevento will mark the salient phases of the event.
During the event, the message of the President of the Republic and the Agenda of the General Commander of the Carabinieri will be read, then the Provincial Commander, Colonel Enrico Calandro will intervene and finally some rewards granted to the soldiers of the Provincial Command will be delivered who have distinguished themselves in service activities.
The choice of the square as the location for the ceremony, which has always been considered the focal point of the city, is the way in which the Benevento Army wants to seal the ethics of proximity by ensuring constant dialogue with the community and triggering a virtuous circuit that generates trust and consent.
