THREE DAYS OF PUBLIC EVENTS IN REGGIO CALABRIA TO COMMEMORATE THE 210TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDATION OF THE CARABINIERI

Solidarity, Culture and Security: Three Days of Celebrations with the Carabinieri of Reggio Calabria

The Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Reggio Calabria organized three days of celebrations on the occasion of the 210th anniversary of the foundation of the Benemerita. These events aim to strengthen the bond with the community and reflect on the fundamental values ​​of the force.

The celebrations began on 3 June with the participation of the Carabinieri in the first blood donation campaign at the Grand Metropolitan Hospital of Reggio Calabria, a gesture of altruism that highlights the Carabinieri’s commitment to serving and protecting the community also through actions of solidarity. On this occasion, a contribution was delivered to the Pediatric Department, demonstrating closeness and hope for children and their families.

A significant moment of the celebrations will be the concert on June 4th in the Piazza dell’Integrazione tra i Popoli in Arghillà. Organized by the National Carabinieri Association and performed by the talented students of the “Francesco Cilea” Conservatory of Reggio Calabria, this event aims to bring culture and beauty to a neighborhood often characterized by social contrasts.

The culmination of the celebrations will take place on 5 June, with a ceremony in arms in Piazza dell’Integrazione fra i Popoli, which commemorates the awarding of the first Gold Medal for Military Valor to the Flag of the Army in 1920. It will be an opportunity to honor the sacrifice and dedication of the Carabinieri through the presence of training departments and different specialties, symbolizing the unity and commitment of the force to safety and legality.
