The San Martino roundabout, at the current intersection between Corso Cavallotti, Via della Repubblica and Via Lamarmora, will be the first ‘deductible’ work for the construction of the 5-star hotel in Portosole, which should start among those foreseen by the agreement between the Reuben Brothers (owner of the landing place) and the Municipality of Sanremo.
The confirmation comes from the corridors of Palazzo Bellevue, where obviously attention is being paid to the dismantling work on the so-called ‘ecommonster’ which has been present in the panorama of the city of flowers for 20 years. Work could start as early as next autumn. In addition to the San Martino roundabout (costing around 600 thousand euros), the junction between via Gavagnin and via Vesco is also planned, which will produce a new road outlet between the city center and the eastern suburbs.
The construction sites of the deducted works will certainly be separated and, let’s remember, there are many works planned that will give the city a series of secondary urbanization public works.
These include maintenance, in the 75 meter stretch from Rio Rubino towards Rio San Lazzaro of the sewer collector and, where necessary upon request of the Municipality, also to intervene to restore correct functionality by creating an internal lining within an intervention amount of 30,000 euros. The transfer of the roof of the building structure in front of Villa Magnolie, used as a level car park, is also envisaged.
