Young talents triumph at the National Technical Drawing Championship – BarlettaLive.it

On May 30th, at the musical secondary school “E. Fieramosca” in Barletta, led by the Director prof. Francesco Saverio Messinese, the awards ceremony of the national technical drawing championship took place in which 923 students participated, belonging to 45 first classes of 6 schools in the Barletta-Andria-Trani province.

The winners, who stood out for their skills and precision in technical drawing, are:

1st place: Alessandro P. (1st M class – “E. Fieramosca” secondary school)

2nd place: Francesca S. (1st M class – “E. Fieramosca” secondary school)

3rd place: Cecilia B. (1st G class – “E. Fieramosca” secondary school)

57 students reached the final and on May 17 they challenged each other with rulers, squares, pencils and compasses, testing their skills in the geometric construction of a composition of polygons inscribed in the circumference and given the side.

The drawings were then evaluated by a commission, experts in the sector, made up of teachers from the six schools that joined the championship.

All the finalists received a gift and a certificate of merit, while the first three classified were awarded with medals and professional technical drawing kits and next year, together with the teachers, they will be part of the Commission that will evaluate the drawings of the finalists of the future edition.

A big round of applause goes to all 923 students who enthusiastically participated in the championship.

The latter, which has now come to an end, was conceived by prof. Fabio Macchia in the 2015/2016 school year in the province of Frosinone and had the aim of enhancing children’s skills in technical drawing, through a healthy competitive spirit. The schools that participated in this competition were IC Marconi-Carella-PAM Losito of Canosa, the IC M. D’Azeglio – G. De Nittis of Barletta, the IC Pietro Mennea Baldacchini plexus of Barletta, l. C. John Paul II lower secondary school RL Montalcini of Barletta, the lower secondary school Battisti-Ferraris of Bisceglie and the musical secondary school E. Fieramosca of Barletta (which was the leading body, with provincial contact professor Concetta Tiziana Lorusso).
