TERAMO – The 2nd Campus Action Cup 2024 Tournament of 5-a-side football between Teramo bodies and joint forces, organized by the Municipality of Teramo, won 2-1 in the final against the University of Teramo Campus Isc football school of president Mohamed El-Shennawy.
The municipal councilor Antonio Filipponi was awarded as best fair-play player. In addition to the two finalists, the selections from the Carabinieri, the Penitentiary Police, the Fire Brigade, the Medical Association, the Lawyers Association and the Italian Red Cross also participated in the tournament. Third place went to the firefighters, who played a friendly match with the parents of the champions of the Campus Football School.
Guests of honor of the evening were the deputy of the Egyptian Parliament from the city of Cairo, Evilyn Boutros, and the provincial councilor Libera D’Amelio. The evening was enlivened by the choreography of the ‘Sirens of the Nile’ belly dance group. As Sama El-Shennawy, coach of the Campus Football School, underlined in her speech at the awards ceremony, the tournament aims to enhance the principles of respect and fair play in football as in life.
