Francesco Bagnaia secured a comfortable victory in front of his fans at Mugello, taking his third consecutive victory in the Italian Grand Prix. Enea Bastianini and Jorge Martin also had strong performances, with Bastianini pulling off an impressive maneuver on the final corner to take second place from the championship leaders. Bagnaia, who started fifth due to a penalty, quickly took the lead and held it throughout the race. The top four riders in the standings led the race, with Pedro Acosta as the best KTM rider in fifth place.

There were some notable incidents during the race. Alex Marquez attempted a bold overtake on Bastianini, but ultimately ceded the position to the factory Ducati rider. Marquez’s bike also had some smoke problems, but this did not significantly affect his performance. Joan Mir crashed on lap 7, despite showing improvements in the performance of his Repsol Honda bike. Takaaki Nakagami also lost control of his bike, forcing him to retire from the race.

As the race progressed, Bagnaia and Martin maintained a consistent pace, creating a gap of 0.8 seconds over Bastianini. Martin managed to reduce the gap to 0.4 seconds, but Bagnaia responded and increased his lead again. Marquez made a last-minute overtake on Bastianini, but was unable to catch up to the leaders. With three laps remaining, Bagnaia made a small mistake, allowing Martin to close in. However, Bagnaia recovered quickly and ensured the victory. Bastianini made a strong maneuver on the final lap to finish second, thus completing a one-two for the factory Ducati team. Martin finished in third place.

Other notable performances include Pedro Acosta’s fifth place on KTM, Franco Morbidelli’s best result with Pramac in sixth place, and Fabio Di Giannatonio’s overtaking of Maverick Viñales to secure seventh place. The Aprilia team had a mixed race, with the rider finishing in eighth place. Alex Marquez and Brad Binder completed the top ten. Aleix Espargaro finished in eleventh place, guaranteeing Team Aprilia Trackhouse a double points position with Raul Fernandez in twelfth place and Miguel Oliveira in fourteenth place. Marco Bezzecchi recovered from a low position on the grid to finish among the Trackhouse drivers in thirteenth place. Rins took the last point in fifteenth place. Jack Miller and Pol Espargaro had disappointing races, finishing in sixteenth and seventeenth place respectively. Fabio Quartararo had difficulties throughout the race, while Johann Zarco finished in nineteenth place. Luca Marini and Lorenzo Savadori completed the race in twentieth and twenty-first place respectively.
