Rome. Andrea Pezzotta, candidate of the centre-right, arrives in Rome, ready to go on stage at the event organized by Brothers of Italy at the end of the election campaign. He, like many other centre-right candidates for local elections, launched and supported by the Premier’s party Giorgia Meloni. And Pezzotta, microphone in hand, pushes Bergamo towards change, describing the discrepancy, what he defines as an “anthropological problem” which wants the Government and the Region to be freed from a centre-right coalition and, on the other hand, a city, his, in the hands of the center-left for ten years. Without hiding the desire to follow the same path as Atalanta, to win.

“The strength of the links between central and regional power and the municipal administration are the focus of this afternoon’s speech in Piazza del Popolo by Andrea Pezzotta, candidate for mayor of the centre-right – so they say from Pezzotta’s entourage -. Even on the stage of the Fratelli d’Italia event, Pezzotta reiterated how fundamental and decisive it is to activate relationships with those who play a directing role at government level to guarantee the city administration the creation of a path that brings a direct benefit to the community. Promoting the cooperation of local actors with national ones certainly brings advantageous consequences for the development and growth of our Bergamo”.

“I thought I would never get so emotional again, but I’ve learned that you should never say never. I come from Bergamo, an important city in Lombardy – thus the centre-right candidate –. Lombardy has been experiencing a strange anthropological situation for years. It has been governed for years by the centre-right. But there are some cities like Milan, like Brescia and unfortunately like Bergamo, which have long been governed by the center-left.

It is something that should be studied from an anthropological point of view. My mission? Is to remove this anomaly. Starting from Bergamo, to then bring this new air, this new current to Brescia, to Milan, to ensure that those cities too are finally governed by the centre-right. Fratelli d’Italia is helping us a lot, as are the other parties in the coalition.

If Giorgia, who I see here on the side, came to Bergamo to lend us a hand, it would be very welcome. I know it will be very difficult for this to happen, but I cannot help but say it because she is truly loved very much by our people who would like to know her personally. I’m just telling you, do you know which football team plays in Bergamo? Have you ever heard of Atalanta? You know what an extraordinary result Atalanta managed to achieve a few days ago. Provincial team that has risen to the top of Europe with its balance sheet in order. With everything in order. Well, I will try to follow that scheme and finally try to bring Bergamo back towards the centre-right. Thanks so much to everyone.”
