There is no respectable summer without arenas, stadiums and squares that are filled with music and notes. A tourist destination with constantly growing numbers, Puglia this year is also consolidated as a destination for fans of large concerts and is preparing to welcome with an attractive program capable of satisfying different ages and tastes. The very rich program of events starts with a bang with Renato Zero at the Stadio della Vittoria in Bari with the double appointment on Friday 14th and Sunday 16th June.

The two concert-events will be an opportunity to listen live, alongside the songs that have marked the more than fifty-year musical career of the eclectic Roman artist (between great classics and rare pearls), the songs contained in the latest album “Autoritratto”, published last December for Tattica: it is a compelling journey in 13 tracks guided by his unique visions and extraordinary ability to tell and tell his story through his art.

On June 25th and 26th, with repeat performances on the 29th and 30th, the San Nicola stadium in Bari is preparing to embrace another great star of the Italian pop-rock scene, Vasco Rossi. The Apulian capital was chosen by the Emilian artist among the stages of 2024, which mark the great return for live performances in Italy. One of the most popular and loved Italian singer-songwriters of all time, Blasco began his career in 1978 and has produced over 20 studio albums, 10 live albums and 4 collections.

Medimex, the International Festival & Music Conference promoted by Puglia Sounds, returns to Taranto from 19 to 23 June. This year too, the event, supported by SIAE, offers large international concerts and events for music professionals and the general public which in this edition will revolve around artificial intelligence. Two evenings of concerts are scheduled in the Rotonda del Lungomare in Taranto: on Saturday 22 June The Smile, the group of Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead with Tom Skinner, and on Sunday 23 June The Jesus and Mary Chain, a cult band from the Eighties that This year celebrates 40 years of activity, and the English band Pulp.

There are 20 major events for the 20 years of the Locus festival, in Puglia between 28 June and 14 August 2024, with a special extra on 8 October which will take place in the municipalities of Bari, Alberobello, Minervino Murge, Ostuni, Fasano, Locorotondo. On Saturday 29 June the Locus Festival doubles, best exemplifying its versatility. At the Rotonda in via Paolo Pinto the festival brings two aces of the Italian rap scene: Salmo & Noyz Narcos, will be on the stage that looks out onto the Bari seafront with the tracks of their joint album “CVLT”, a proud record that exudes authenticity , power and credibility in every bar and in every production. At the same time, always on June 29th, inside a magical and precious treasure chest like the Petruzzelli Theater, the magnetic Irish singer-songwriter, guitarist and actor Glen Hansard arrives. From his debut as frontman of The Frames and his appearance in the cult film “The Commitments” to the folk rock experiments in the duo The Swell Season, up to the latest recording effort “All That Was East Is West Of Me Now”: the voice of The Dublin artist represents a real gem for this edition of the Locus.

The three-day festival in Bari closes on Sunday 30 June with a legendary concert: Simple Minds return from Glasgow to Apulia for a single date in Southern Italy, led by the unmistakable voice of Jim Kerr and the distinctive talent of the guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Burchill.
