On May 31, 2024, the “After Christmas NOT cold NOT hungry” Service ended, a food collection conducted by the Caserta Terra di Lavoro Reloaded Lions Club and the ATE Association of Marcianise. The large quantity of food collected (also thanks to the generous participation of some companies including Pastificio Pallante), sufficient to create food parcels for around 40 families, and including products such as EVO oil and baby food, was delivered by the President of the LC Laura Leoncini and by the partner Joanna Zarrillo to Mr. Of the Medal president of the Association Giuliano Margherita of Marcianise and to Don Giovanni Vella, priest of the church of San Giovanni Paolo II in San Giuliano Martire Marcianise (CE) – Vicar of the Diocese of Caserta, who in the next few days will provide distribution to families in the area who are in serious difficulty. The Services conducted by Lions International members are voluntary activities for the benefit of the community, social awareness, cultural and social enhancement, help to people and response to the needs of the community. The Lions Club Terra di Lavoro Reloaded organized the “After Christmas NOT cold NOT hungry” service in Marcianise together with the ATE Association of Marcianise, of which Prof. Partner is President Bartholomew Valentino, with his wife Anna Maria Murano, with the dual purpose of providing basic necessities (“hunger”) to families in difficulty, and of raising awareness among the community of the fact that outside of the major holidays (“Christmas”), sensitivity towards the needs of those who are most weak seems to decrease, giving a chilling sensation of abandonment (the “cold”).
