Viterbo, attacks the ex’s parents
The complaint and warning from the Police Commissioner are triggered
VITERBO – As part of the constant preventive activity carried out by the State Police to combat the phenomenon of violent behaviour, the Police Commissioner of Viterbo, following a detailed investigation carried out by the Anti-Crime Police Division, has adopted the provision of the Warning against a thirty-three year old from Viterbo.
In recent times the man had become the protagonist of frequent abusive and oppressive attitudes as well as real violence towards his ex, repeated in increasing severity, so much so as to force the woman to file a complaint against him following which the same was released in a state of freedom for mistreatment in the family and subjected to the precautionary measure of the ban from approaching the places frequented by the offended party and his family members.
Nonetheless, in recent days the man attacked both of the ex’s parents who were forced to seek medical treatment at the emergency room of the Viterbo hospital, where they were judged recoverable, respectively, with a prognosis of seven and three days.
In light of the above, the man was reported by the Flying Squad which intervened in the incident and, considering the urgency aimed at immediately stopping the violent behaviour, the men of the State Police of the Anti-Crime Division subjected him to the prevention measure of the Warning .
By virtue of the recent changes made to current legislation, if the warned person repeats the conduct it will be possible to proceed even ex officio with a complaint to the judicial authority, even if the offended person is different from the one for whose protection it was the measure was adopted.
The interested party will not be able to request the revocation of the Warning before three years have passed from its issue without further relapses and having demonstrated that they have taken part in specific rehabilitation courses held by associations with which the Police Headquarters has stipulated an operational protocol called “Zeus ”, which includes reflection paths on harassing conduct, such as anger control and management.
