REGGIO CALABRIA A sailing trip to “go further”. The Professor of Quantum Physics, Paola Verrucchicontinues the tour around Italy on board his boat: docked at Reggio Calabria. In a video collected by an entrepreneur, Giuseppe Falduto, the professor confesses: «I deal with quantum mechanics, which is as beautiful as this panorama and world around us. When I travel with my small sailboat I do it because I like to go further. And in Science, in the Universe, there is the same desire to see, to discover and understand our role in this world. We are so small.” On Reggio Calabria, the commentary is full of passion. «I arrived and it’s beautiful, it’s special. I don’t know how to explain it, it’s an atmosphere that is moving me. I was thinking of leaving tomorrow but I think I’ll stay at least another day because it’s magical.” Finally, she comments: «In Science we look for a beautiful theory, a beautiful explanation, and here I sincerely find the beauty of the world. These mountains behind that speak of history and humanity. When I passed by here I thought of Ulysses. I thought of all the humanity that has passed.”
