The annual meeting was held on the afternoon of Thursday 30 May Trentinosolidale Odv in the presence of numerous volunteer members and many authorities representing public and private institutions.
The Vice President of the Provincial Council was present Maria Chiara Franzoia And Alberto Pedrotti, Councilor for community welfare of the Municipality of Trento.
Thanking those who attended President Casagranda he hoped that the next law on volunteering (three bills are currently filed) both “approved by the Provincial Council, after an extensive fact-finding investigation, unanimously, because this would be a nice gift to the many Trentino volunteers”.

The Association’s projects were then presented: from that of public and educational utility which is an alternative to prison, to the cultural and educational one of Trentinosolidale Odv goes to school; from the one with social but also environmental value such as «DonoTrentino», to the best-known project on the fight against food waste
During the meeting, the most relevant numerical data of the activity carried out in 2023 were also summarized starting from 655 Volunteer-Members, 25 Volunteer-Students and 102 Volunteer-Public Utility Workers, for a total of 782 people who donated a total of 189,536 hours of work to the Community
Then the 624 donors registered on the Donotrentino platform254 donated goods, 38 welfare services and accredited associations to practice, together, giving towards those in less privileged conditions. Over 4,000,000.00 euros (value calculated on the sales price) of products collected and distributed.
2,189 families instead (with 6,460 components) who turned to our Distribution Centers to do the shopping for free, for an annual total of 49,835 delivered expenses; over 40 associations, organizations and institutions that we help by providing food; approximately 300,000 welfare services / food deliveries provided.
But the Association does not only work on the logic of numbers, on performance, on results. The President expressly wanted to reiterate that the Association is made up of Volunteers who do and are much more: they are those who do not exclude; who meet, listen and welcome those who have made mistakes and those who come from far away; who assist those in difficulty, even temporarily; they are those who see the results of wrong policies every day, both in terms of reception and in terms of work with the encouragement of precarious jobs and the maintenance of low wages; they are those who continue to believe, still, that inequalities are not inevitable, that they can be reduced by changing policies.
