Lamezia Terme – Fabrizio Basciano, professor of History of popular music and jazz at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Nocera Terinese, will present, on May 31st at 6 pm, at the Tavella Bookshop in Lamezia Terme the second, updated and expanded edition of his Manual of the history of popular music and jazz, published by Volontè&Co.

In addition to being a historic collaborator of Il Fatto Quotidiano, Basciano has published essays for important opera-symphonic organizations (Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Lirico di Vicenza, Festival della Valle d’Itria), and has several books to his credit (La bottega dei falsiautori – 2018 – with preface by Marco Travaglio, and Battiato ’70 – 2015), is co-author of the latest edition of the Manual of Music History by the great historian Elvidio Surian and with the latter is the inspiration for the bill for the inclusion of History of music in high schools, the n. 1553 of 2019. Conversing with him will be Francesco Sacco, radio and television host and author, collaborator of newspapers and music magazines and event organizer. Everything will be accompanied by the musical incursions of Francesco Scaramuzzino, a renowned jazz pianist with a long series of important collaborations, recordings and concerts to his credit. The presentation, the first and only one of the Basciano Manual in the Lamezo area, will also reserve a pleasant surprise for those present.
