23 searches have been underway since this morning financial policealso with Scico, in Florence, Livorno and Naples for an investigation of Dda of Florence on a criminal conspiracy aimed at “tax crimes, embezzlement, self-laundering”, crimes committed with the acquisition or rental of 31 restaurant businesses in the center of Florence, two hotels, car rental businesses, a beer production for a value of laundered money of approximately 13.5 million euros. Also acquired the shares of a company amateur football in Campania.
Other searches are underway in Albania by the Special Prosecutor’s Office against corruption and organized crime of Tirana (SPAK): they are carried out by the NBI in Vlore, in the same Albanian capital, Durres, Elbasan.
The promoters and organizers of the criminal association are an Italian and an Albanian, but over time the two have involved “numerous other subjects” around them.
According to what we learn from investigative sources, at the moment no measures have been taken either on the suspects or on the assets in their possession, but the investigative activity is ongoing and is developing with the searches by the financial police. A large number of accesses relate to restaurants and clubs in the historic center of Florence, acquired or taken under management since 2012.
Regarding the football team mentioned in a note from the Florence prosecutor’s office, it would be – according to what emerges – of a team from Ischia (Naples) in whose company shares illicit proceeds were reinvested. Other ‘dirty’ money, however, was also reinvested by the suspects in luxury goods.
The searches are also carried out with the use of dogs, the cash dog units of Bologna, Rimini and Florence.
