The fourth stage of the Territorial Conferences on the Certification of Gender Equality promoted by the Province of Parma, supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region and with the support of the Partners AOU and AUSL of Parma, Federmanager Parma, FIDAPA Parma and ODCEC of Parma, has arrived in PARMA. united to inform and train companies and public administrations on the certification of gender equality.

After the first stages which involved 3 Municipalities in the province of Parma, the Conference on the Certification of Gender Equality arrived today in Parma as the guest, in the Palace of the Province of Parma, of the president Andrea Massari who underlined how the promotion of equal opportunities in provincial territory, in addition to being an institutional task of the Provinces, is a real duty for all the Institutions. The commitment of the Province of Parma is to promote the Certification for Gender Equality as a tool to improve the well-being, development and cohesion of the entire community”. The floor was then passed to Massimo Fabi, General Director of the AOU and Extraordinary Commissioner of the Parma Local Health Authority, who declared the precise commitment of the Parma healthcare companies to promote equal opportunities and enhance the well-being of those who work in healthcare through shared paths and precious support. of the Single Hospital and Local Health Authority Guarantee Committees. “This project represents a further tool to spread the culture of gender equality in public and private companies, a culture that must become part of our daily actions at every level of responsibility”, concluded Fabi

It was then the turn of Prof Cesare Azzali of UPI who shared the value of this certification for the companies of the economic fabric of our territory and expressed UPI’s willingness to take part in the information and invitation campaign of companies associated with knowledge of the Certification of gender equality for fairer and more sustainable economic and social development.

This was followed by the speech of the delegate for equal opportunities of the Province of Parma, Raffaella De Vincenzi, who thanked all the members of the team who organized and implemented this project for the excellent work done.



Entering the heart of the Conference, the first speech was by Manuela Amadei, President of FIDAPA Parma, who introduced the regulatory context of the Certification of Gender Equality, providing a complete and clear picture of the situation.

In the second speech, the speaker Elisabetta Todeschini, Vice President of Federmanager Parma, dealt with the Certification starting from what it is, who it is aimed at and explaining the process that leads organizations to obtain the Gender Equality Certificate, concluding with an overview of the contributions allocated by the government and the Emilian chamber of commerce for organizations that are certified and provided the updated number of certified companies in Italy and in the province of Parma.

We then moved on to Dr. Federica Abelli, President of CPO ODCEC of Parma, who delved into the advantages for companies of both an economic and reputational and organizational nature.

The next speech was on the topic of advantages for Public Administrations held by Nicoletta Paci, Deputy Equality Councilor of the Province of Parma, who underlined the importance of the role of example of the Public Administration with regards to Equality Certification

The Conference concluded with the testimony of two companies in our area that have obtained the Certification: Giuseppe Maria De Bellis of Magister Group, who spoke about the experience of the certification, underlining the spirit and sensitivity of his company which has always put people at the center. He then told how, even after certification, the objective of continuous improvement continues and continues to stimulate and improve the working environment and work-life balance which in Magister Group includes a 4-day working week (32 hours) to have a day to dedicate to your personal life. Following was the testimony of Maria Francesca Albertini, partner of Grimaldi Alliance Parma, who shared the certification experience with those present, talking about the need for equal opportunities in the legal world.

Through the Conference, local participants were able to acquire all the information necessary to make the best decisions for the company’s future, also given the possibility of using the funds allocated for businesses, in conjunction with the PNRR, in particular for SMEs.

The objective therefore also achieved in Parma is to INFORM and TRAIN local organizations on this opportunity for both economic and social development. The objective is also to promote the competitiveness of companies, which can boast a virtuous reputation in the treatment of their employees, as well as to benefit from a tax relief.

In Parma there are already many companies that have obtained gender equality certification, demonstrating the recognition of the value of this certification.
